All of our expeditions are guided by a qualified and experienced leader who will (literally) guide you along the route and do all of the things that you’d expect from someone taking on this role. Your expedition guide will be responsible for all aspects of your trip, making sure everyone has a truly magical experience.
fully supported
All of our expeditions are supported in terms of the expedition guide being super helpful and empathetic, so that each member of the group gets the most out of the experience. But in addition to that, some of our expeditions are described as fully supported, and some are described as semi-supported (more on that below). Both are related to our well-equipped support vehicle and driver. All of our expeditions will have one of each! This means that we have real flexibility and peace of mind, should we encounter an incident, a major mechanical or if someone is struggling.

Expeditions that are described as fully supported follow routes that are accessible by our vehicle most of the time and because of that, we don’t need to carry more than ‘day cycling’ equipment. This will usually consist of spare layers, waterproofs, snacks, water, medical items, camera etc. If we need to access more kit, we’ll collect it when we reunite with the support vehicle during the day. We certainly don’t need to carry any cooking or overnight equipment.​
semi supported
Semi supported refers to a route that sees us venturing into areas where the support vehicle cannot always access. And, in most cases, we’ll be accessing these areas with the intention of finding a wild camping spot or mountain refuge. This requires us to take a range of items that will sustain us through the night and part way through the next day, when we’ll reunite again with the support vehicle. So, whilst our support vehicle will be ours for the entirety of the expedition, and be on hand to deal with most challenges, we’ve described these trips as partly or semi supported, since we can't rely on this support all of the time.
